Schools continue to teach “practical” learning where students are encouraged only to learn things that are directly related to jobs in the 21st century. This often comes at the price of a traditional liberal art education, where literature, writing, and communication often get left behind.

Writing skills are among the most cited skills that employers look for in future employers and this doesn’t change across industries. Employers want people who can communicate. In other words, they want people who can tell the difference between latter and former.
